FMs of Iran and Turkey engage in talks concerning the latest developments in Syria
The foreign ministers of Iran and Turkey have engaged in discussions regarding bilateral relations and the latest regional developments, with a particular focus on the resurgence of terrorism in Syria and efforts to combat such threats.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, leading a diplomatic delegation, arrived in Ankara early Monday after completing a brief visit to Syria.
Iran’s top diplomat, Araqchi, engaged in discussions with Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, on Monday. The two officials are expected to address the media in a joint press conference following their talks.
In a recent meeting, Araghchi expressed that nations in the region share a mutual concern regarding the reemergence of terrorism and the escalating instability in Syria.
He called on regional nations, with an emphasis on Iran and Turkey, to enhance collaboration and unity in efforts to safeguard stability and security across the region.
Iran’s senior diplomat has accused Israel, with support from the United States, of attempting to leverage the current volatile situation in the region. This situation, marked by the regime’s unprecedented aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, is reportedly being used by Israel to distract the international community from its alleged offenses.
Araghchi emphasized that the latest activities by terrorist organizations in Syria, along with the increasing instability and insecurity in the region, align with the objectives of Zionist interests.
Addressing the ongoing conflict, he highlighted Israel’s repeated breaches of a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, calling on all Muslim and regional nations to assume responsibility in curbing the aggression of the Tel Aviv regime.
The Iranian minister has urged Muslim and regional nations to extend assistance to refugees in Gaza and Lebanon as the onset of winter draws near.
In other comments, Araghchi emphasized the strong commitment of Tehran and Ankara to enhancing bilateral relations. He also expressed optimism that the 9th session of the Iran-Turkey High-Level Cooperation Council is slated for early 2025.
The Turkish minister affirmed Ankara’s commitment to enhancing collaborative ties with Iran across a spectrum of sectors, including economic, political, cultural, and security domains, alongside a concerted effort in combating terrorism.
Fidan expressed apprehension regarding the escalating insecurity and instability in Syria, cautioning that such developments could have negative repercussions for neighboring countries in the region.
Upon his arrival in Ankara, Iran’s top diplomat addressed the press, emphasizing the need for both parties to tackle mutual concerns regarding the ongoing developments in the region.

Araghchi: Takfiri Terrorists Allegedly Linked with US, Israel
