In a recent interview with Fars News Agency on Sunday, Mohammed al-Dailami reported that the Yemeni Armed Forces have caused considerable economic damage to the occupying regime.

He reported that military actions targeting Israeli interests have taken place across multiple maritime regions, encompassing the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea. He highlighted that more than 200 vessels have been attacked to date.

In an initial move by Yemen to bolster support for Gaza, the Yemeni Armed Forces initially focused their operations on vessels affiliated with the Zionist regime. However, according to statements made, following intervention by the US-British coalition aimed at obstructing Yemen’s backing for the Palestinian populace, American and British military ships were subsequently included among the targets in the Red Sea. As a consequence, these ships have been barred from accessing the region.

Mohammed-Dailami highlighted that vessels with any association to the Zionist regime are permitted to navigate through the Red Sea, provided they do not dock at ports controlled by the occupying regime and are not operated by companies linked to it.

Ship tracking and maritime analysis data indicates a significant 56% reduction in the total number of ships transiting through the Red Sea by September, compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.

Yemeni authorities have announced that their maritime initiatives are intended to aid the Palestinian population and resistance factions in Gaza, which have been enduring a prolonged and severe conflict with Israel for over a year.

In a demonstration of solidarity with the Palestinian people, the Yemeni Armed Forces have initiated strikes on territories under Israeli occupation.

Yemen has announced its commitment to continue launching assaults on maritime vessels connected to Israel, along with targets within the occupied territories, until the Israeli government halts its military actions against Gaza, which Yemen describes as genocidal.
