In an overnight confrontation in Balochistan's Kalat region, eighteen soldiers lost their lives, and twelve militants were neutralized, according to a statement issued by the military's media department.

According to a report by Dawn, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that during the night of January 31 and February 1, terrorist elements attempted to set up roadblocks in the Mangocher area of Kalat district, Balochistan.

According to reports, hostile forces orchestrated this act of terrorism to destabilize the peaceful environment of Balochistan, with innocent civilians primarily bearing the brunt of the attack.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies were swiftly deployed in response to the threat, successfully neutralizing twelve terrorists and ensuring the safety and security of the local population.

During the course of operations, eighteen soldiers heroically lost their lives, the report stated, further noting that efforts to secure the area are underway and those responsible for orchestrating and supporting this heinous attack will be held accountable.

Security forces have reiterated their commitment to counter efforts aimed at undermining peace, stability, and advancement in the provinces. The courageous sacrifices made by valiant soldiers have further bolstered their determination.
