Numerous Israeli troops reported dead and wounded in a resolute counteraction by resistance forces
Palestinian resistance fighters have mounted a strong and determined defense against advancing Israeli forces in Jenin, a city located in the occupied West Bank, resulting in several Israeli troops being killed and injured.

On Saturday, marking the 12th consecutive day, Israeli military operations continued to escalate across the West Bank, with significant actions reported in Jenin, alongside extensive operations in Tulkarem, Ramallah, Tubas, Hebron, and Nablus.
The combatant forces comprised members of the al-Qassam Brigades from the West Bank, the military arm of the Gaza Strip-based Hamas resistance movement. Additionally, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Gaza-headquartered Islamic Jihad, were involved alongside local resistance fighters from Jenin.
The coalition of resistance groups has issued a statement outlining the accomplishments of their recent operations.
In a recently released statement, it has been reported that intense clashes are ongoing between our combatants and occupying forces on the eastern front. The forces have targeted enemy troops and military vehicles with significant firepower, resulting in confirmed strikes.
The statement reported that their forces launched an ambush on a unit of 10 enemy soldiers, engulfing them in intense, close-range gunfire and resulting in confirmed casualties.
In the town of Arraba, located in the Jenin region, resistance fighters engaged in skirmishes with incoming forces. Their engineering unit successfully detonated an explosive device targeting a military vehicle on a reinforcement route, reportedly scoring direct hits, according to sources.
On Sunday, reports from local sources indicated that a campaign of significant violence and devastation continued to unfold, with a particular focus on the city and Tulkarem. This campaign has reportedly resulted in multiple Palestinian casualties, extensive infrastructure damage, the burning and demolition of homes, and the forced displacement of hundreds of families.
15,000 People Forced to Relocate Amidst Unrest in Jenin
Jenin’s Mayor, Mohammad Jarrar, reported that approximately 15,000 Palestinians have been forced to flee their homes in the wake of intensified hostilities. The displacement has predominantly affected residents of the Jenin Refugee Camp and the al-Hadaf neighborhood.
According to recent reports, more than 100 homes in Jenin camp and its neighboring areas have been razed to the ground. Additionally, four hospitals across the city are currently facing a water shortage after supply lines were damaged by occupation forces, resulting in 35% of Jenin’s population being deprived of water access.
The ongoing aggression surpasses mere military objectives and appears to be advancing a political agenda in line with the far-right government. The city is currently grappling with a dire humanitarian crisis.
Jarrar reported that ground forces received support from aerial units, with warplanes recently conducting three airstrikes on Jenin.
Approximately 20 days following the conclusion of a 15-month-long conflict that left at least 47,000 Palestinians dead, predominantly women and children, recent reports indicate ongoing violence and destruction in Gaza. This follows claims that the Israeli administration had ended a prolonged campaign that numerous observers have termed genocidal.
Despite assertions of having concluded their intense military campaign, the regime’s armed forces have reportedly continued operations, resulting in the deaths of approximately 500 additional Palestinians throughout the coastal region.
On January 25, Hamas issued a warning indicating that the West Bank is poised to become a significant zone of conflict between Israeli authorities and Palestinian resistance forces.
Basem Naim, a member of Hamas’ Political Bureau and a former Palestinian minister, stated that the West Bank, rather than the Gaza Strip, is expected to be the focal point of future confrontations. He cited the Israeli regime’s strategic interest in annexing the West Bank, including the city of al-Quds, as the primary reason for this anticipated escalation.
