Israeli fighter aircraft launch multiple airstrikes in southern regions of Syria, near the house of Ziad al-Nakhaleh

On Thursday afternoon, reports emerged from Syria indicating that Israeli fighter jets conducted a series of airstrikes targeting an area in the capital city, Damascus.

According to a report by the Associated Press, airstrikes were directed at the outskirts of Damascus, including what is believed to be the residence of Ziad al-Nakhaleh, leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

According to Ismail Sindak, a member of Islamic Jihad, the apartment targeted in a recent strike has been unoccupied for several years. Sindak informed the Associated Press that Nakhaleh is currently not in Syria. When questioned about potential casualties resulting from the attack, Sindak confirmed that “the house was empty.”
