“Hamas Lauds Palestinian Resilience as Eid Celebrations Unfold Amid ‘israeli’ Tensions and Starvation”

Hamas, the Palestinian resistance movement, announced that Palestinians are observing Eid al-Fitr, the festival concluding the holy month of Ramadan, in the face of what it describes as severe "Zionist aggression, blockade, starvation, violence, and destruction."

In a statement released on Sunday, Hamas commemorated the occasion of Eid al-Fitr by honoring the resilience and valor of their people, highlighting their enduring resistance. They extended prayers for the acceptance of their devotions, struggles, steadfastness, and sacrifices.

In a recent statement, it was highlighted that the arrival of Eid al-Fitr coincides with difficult times for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem. They continue to endure significant challenges, including aggressive actions, restrictions, and humanitarian strife, amidst what is described as a near-total lack of international response and unwavering support from the United States for the occupation.

The Gaza-based group has called on Arab and Muslim nations to intensify their support for the people of Gaza. They are urging these countries to take responsibility for escalating popular actions, apply pressure to halt the aggression, lift the siege, and advocate for the just Palestinian cause.

Hamas has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, vowing to persist in its resistance efforts until the ultimate goal of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is realized.

The Israeli military has persisted in conducting airstrikes across different regions of Gaza since the early hours, leading to numerous fatalities and injuries.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza gathered to observe Eid al-Fitr prayers amidst the ruins of demolished mosques, within displacement shelters, and alongside the debris of their homes, as Israeli airstrikes continued unabated.

On March 18, the Israeli military initiated an unexpected airstrike on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of over 920 individuals and injuring upwards of 2,000. This action led to the collapse of the ceasefire with Hamas and affected the agreement concerning the exchange of Israeli captives for Palestinian abductees.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the Israeli military offensive on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has resulted in the deaths of more than 50,200 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, with over 114,000 others sustaining injuries.
