Hezbollah Condemns ‘israeli’ Strike on Gaza-Bound Freedom Flotilla

Hezbollah released a statement on Friday condemning what it described as a “cowardly Zionist attack” on the vessel Al-Dhamir Al-Alami, translating to ‘international conscience’ in Arabic. The ship was reportedly carrying humanitarian aid intended for over two million Palestinians enduring a severe and oppressive blockade while navigating international waters.

A statement from Hezbollah denounced the recent attack on a peaceful civilian ship transporting relief aid, labeling it a clear breach of international laws, norms, and humanitarian principles. The group further asserted that the Israeli operation underscores, yet again, the disregard this rogue entity has for international resolutions, exhibiting only terrorism and arrogance.

The statement emphasized that this entity employs all internationally banned methods to fulfill its objectives and quench its appetite for chaos and destruction.

Hezbollah has declared that the incident, along with other acts of violence and atrocities in Gaza and various locations, was made possible due to explicit U.S. backing of the provisional entity. They condemned the appalling international cooperation and criticized the grave silence from Arab nations over the extermination campaign conducted by the Israeli forces against Palestinians.

“We urge the broadest international and Arab denunciation of this act, which exposes the true character of the Zionist adversary. We also appeal for the safeguarding of the vessel, its crew, and the activists present, while advising vigilance against the deceit of the Israeli opponent, who previously did not hesitate to attack the Mavi Marmara, resulting in the loss of several activists.”

An Israeli drone targeted a vessel from the Freedom Flotilla off the coast of Malta Thursday night, resulting in a fire onboard.

Al Jazeera has reported that the vessel, Al-Dhamir, which embarked on its journey from Tunisia with 30 international human rights activists on board, was attacked by Israeli drones while navigating international waters near the coast of Malta.

A representative of the Freedom Flotilla reported an incident where the ship, positioned in international waters a few miles off the coast of Malta, was targeted by drones. The drones executed two attacks, one striking the vessel’s generator, leading to a fire at the bow and resulting in structural damage. Fortunately, no activists sustained physical injuries.
