Pezeshkian Asserts Commitment to Peaceful Nuclear Program Amid Pressure
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has firmly declared that Tehran will steadfastly maintain its peaceful nuclear program, regardless of any external pressure or threats. This statement dismisses the provocative rhetoric from US figure, Trump.

Pezeshkian declared at the sixth Tehran Dialogue Forum in the Iranian capital on Sunday that Iran is resolute in maintaining its peaceful nuclear program, stating, “We will never abandon our peaceful nuclear program, and no matter what they do, we will not give in.”
He replied to Trump’s recent claims emphasizing the necessity for the United States to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, while also issuing threats to initiate strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The Iranian president asserted a firm stance against coercion, stating, “As a human being, I refuse to yield to pressure. Regardless of the level of force applied, I reject any form of coercion.”
He remarked that Iran harbors no fear, even in the face off sanctions. “They want to sanction us? We’ve endured sanctions for a lifetime,” he stated with a tone of mockery.
**Iran Declares It Is Not Pursuing Nuclear Weapons**
In his remarks, the head of state highlighted Iran’s entitlement under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) to harness peaceful nuclear technology. He stressed that this encompasses the country’s right to pursue nuclear research across various domains such as healthcare, agriculture, industry, and other crucial sectors.
Iran has stated that its religious principles prohibit the development of nuclear weapons, which are characterized as tools that can “destroy humanity and offer nothing to the Earth’s future except savagery.”
He asserted that the sustained accusations against Iran regarding its pursuit of nuclear weapons are merely a reiteration of unfounded and aggressive allegations.
In a response to Trump’s portrayal of Iran as a regional threat during his recent visit to West Asia, Pezeshkian addressed the remarks with notable attention.
He questioned, “Is it us who are bombing homes and killing scientists, scholars, and innocent people? Are we the ones threatening the world with weapons, or is it them who have entered our region with threats?”
In recent statements, questions were raised about the potential assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Iran and whether there is endorsement for such actions. The accusations cast responsibility on those considered criminals for destabilizing global stability, marking what is referred to as the decline of ethical standards in political conduct, attributing blame to these entities.
He further proposed that Iran holds the capability to significantly impact Western nations by halting the energy supply flow from the Persian Gulf.
Foreign powers are intentionally instigating division among regional nations to rationalize their meddling and plundering, Trump stated.
Pezeshkian stated, “For millennia, we have coexisted with our neighbors, yet attempts are being made to fracture our unity. Weapons are being supplied to incite internal conflict, only for external forces to later intervene under the guise of peace and exploit our resources.”
He highlighted Iran’s dedication to fostering regional unity, questioning the necessity of conflict among neighboring nations. “There is no reason for us to be adversaries. Our aim is to assist one another in creating a region characterized by peace and tranquility. Let us collaborate and appreciate life here, despite the opposition from external forces.”
