Iran Issues Stern Warning Following “Politically-Motivated” IAEA Report
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs has dismissed a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding the country's nuclear program as politically motivated. He cautioned that Iran would take appropriate measures if specific nations attempt to test its patience.

Kazem Gharibabadi issued a statement on Sunday in response to a confidential report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) presented to member states. The report accused Iran of not disclosing its nuclear activities at three unspecified sites and expressed apprehensions regarding its accumulated uranium with enrichment levels reaching 60% purity.
He stated that the report is founded on “a collection of fabricated data given by the Zionist regime,” with origins tracing back over two decades.
The spokesperson stated that all allegations concerning Iran’s historical nuclear activities were nullified in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231. This resolution officially endorsed the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement, widely recognized as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Gharibabadi highlighted that the report from the United Nations nuclear watchdog revisits “unsubstantiated issues,” perceived as a strategy for “new political exploitation against Iran.”
A spokesperson for Iran stated that the nation is neither seeking nuclear weapons nor harboring any undeclared nuclear materials or activities. The representative emphasized Iran’s continued adherence to all its commitments, asserting that the sacrifices made by Iran were in the interest of maintaining its dignity, honor, progress, and resilience against the pressure and hegemonic aspirations of certain global powers.
Iran has issued a stark warning to certain states, cautioning that if they continue to test Tehran’s patience and maintain their misguided course of action, Iran will be forced to respond accordingly. The Islamic Republic emphasized that any future measures it may take will be directly influenced by the actions and decisions of these states. Iran underlined that the responsibility and consequences of such scenarios will lie squarely with those who choose this path.
The deputy foreign minister highlighted concerns that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), allegedly under the influence of specific countries, has become a mechanism of pressure against the Islamic Republic.
Concerns regarding Iran’s nuclear materials and activities are merely a ruse to create an artificial sense of urgency, particularly in a region where the nuclear-armed Israeli state remains exempt from participating in any weapons of mass destruction disarmament treaties, he noted.
A country’s nuclear activities remain a non-issue as long as they are being monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) report may potentially form the foundation for an anti-Iran resolution at the upcoming Board of Governors meeting scheduled in Vienna from June 9 to 13.
On Saturday, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, engaged in discussions with IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi, calling on him to accurately “reflect the realities.”
He further cautioned that Tehran would “react accordingly to any inappropriate measures taken by European counterparts.”
In a joint statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) have accused Rafael Grossi of reiterating “previous biased and unfounded accusations” against the nation. The statement further alleges that these claims rely heavily on “forged documents” purportedly supplied by Israel.
