WATCH: Iran Unveils Kheibar Shekan Missile Capable of Multiple Warhead Deployment
In a groundbreaking development, Iran has officially launched its first multi-warhead Kheibar Shekan ballistic missile. The launch took place during the twentieth phase of Operation True Promise III, which was conducted in the early hours of Sunday.
The public relations department of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that this stage of the retaliatory mission marked the inaugural use of the third-generation Kheibar Shekan ballistic missile, which successfully hit its designated targets.
The twentieth wave occurred mere hours following reports that the United States had targeted three Iranian nuclear sites located in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported that they launched 40 missiles, comprising both solid- and liquid-fueled variants, aimed at strategic targets within the occupied Palestinian territories on Sunday.
In a recent military operation, the IRGC Aerospace Force has utilized the third-generation Kheibar Shekan multi-warhead ballistic missile. This marks the first deployment of the missile, noted for its innovative tactics aimed at enhancing accuracy, destructive capability, and overall effectiveness, according to an official statement.
Key targets encompassed Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport, the regime’s biological research facility, and various alternative command-and-control sites.
The missiles utilized maneuverable warheads that could alter their trajectory during descent, maintaining control until reaching their target and delivering multiple high-explosive, highly destructive payloads.
Reports indicate that sirens were activated only after missiles had already made direct impacts, throwing the occupied territories into turmoil. This chaotic scene mirrors events witnessed during earlier phases of Operation True Promise III.
The statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) concluded with a declaration that the fundamental strengths of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces remain to be fully engaged in this significant defense.
Iran’s armed forces have successfully executed 20 phases of the True Promise III operation, focusing on strategic and sensitive military and intelligence targets within the occupied territories.
In response to ongoing Israeli actions, over 400 Iranians, encompassing military commanders, scientists, university professors, athletes, and school students, have lost their lives since June 13.
