US Key Driver Behind Zionist Aggression Towards Iran: Pezeshkian

Iran’s President has stated that Tehran’s firm response to actions by the Israeli regime prompted the United States to intervene and target peaceful nuclear facilities.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that the United States is chiefly responsible for instigating the Israeli regime’s aggressive actions towards the Islamic Republic.
The Israeli government initiated an unexpected offensive against Iran last Friday, reportedly with U.S. support, resulting in the assassination of several high-ranking military officials, scientists, and numerous civilians, including women and children.
After an extended period exceeding one week, the United States has officially announced its decision to directly intervene in the conflict that the Zionist regime has been facing setbacks in.
In the early hours of Sunday, reports surfaced that the United States conducted unauthorized strikes targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The actions, which allegedly infringe upon international law and the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), have drawn significant criticism. Press TV’s Maryam Azarchehr remarked that the U.S. must face repercussions for this purported act of aggression against Iran.
During a weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday, Pezeshkian stated that this “act of aggression demonstrated that the United States is the main force behind the Zionist regime’s hostilities towards the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
On June 13, as Israel initiated its aggressive actions against Iran, the Trump administration initially sought to distance itself from any involvement. However, following Tehran’s strong and deterrent response, coupled with Israel’s apparent vulnerability, Trump felt compelled to intervene, according to Pezeshkian.
The alleged unprovoked military action by the United States against Iran was intended to assist Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amidst his administration’s challenges in responding effectively to Iran’s military actions, he stated.
The Iranian armed forces have initiated Operation True Promise III, targeting the occupied territories in what has been described as a significant retaliation against the aggressive policies perpetrated by Washington towards Iran. The Iranian leadership has emphasized holding the United States accountable for the repercussions of its actions, labeling them as ‘war-mongering.’
Just hours after Trump took credit for the airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) reported the inaugural launch of its multi-warhead Kheibar Shekan ballistic missile. This launch was part of the 20th wave of Operation True Promise III targeting the occupied territories.
The primary targets comprised Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, the nation’s biological research facility, and backup command-and-control locations.
In a recent statement, Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of unity and harnessing the collective capabilities of the populace. He affirmed the Iranian nation’s unwavering commitment to defending the sovereignty and integrity of their homeland.
Since June 13, the ongoing hostilities between Israel and Iran have resulted in the deaths of over 400 Iranian individuals. In retaliation, Iran’s military has executed 20 phases of the True Promise III operation, focusing on strategic military and intelligence locations within the contested areas.
