Iranian Foreign Minister Commends Military’s Retaliation Against Israel
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi took to social media early Tuesday to express his appreciation for the nation's "powerful" armed forces. This message of gratitude extended on behalf of all Iranians followed the cessation of Israeli hostilities after a 12-day period.

The statement expressed gratitude to the courageous Armed Forces of Iran, acknowledging their unwavering readiness to defend the nation with utmost commitment and their prompt response to threats until the final moments.
Shortly after Trump’s tweet and prior to the enforcement of the ceasefire, Iranian military forces fired a final wave of missiles at the occupied territories, resulting in direct impacts.
Footage circulating online depicts the blaring of air raid sirens across Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other cities, prompting alarmed residents to hurriedly seek refuge in underground shelters.
Shortly after Trump announced on social media that a ceasefire had been established between Iran and Israel, Araghchi issued a statement commenting on the development.
Trump announced that Iran and the Israeli authorities have reached a comprehensive ceasefire agreement, effectively bringing an end to the 12-day conflict that began on June 13 following what was described as unprovoked aggression by the Israeli side.
In a previous tweet, Iran’s chief diplomat stated that currently, there is “no agreement” regarding a ceasefire or halt in military activities. He further mentioned that if the Israeli government ceased its aggression “no later than 4 a.m. Tehran time,” Iran would reciprocate by halting its response.
In a significant escalation, Iranian military forces have launched a missile attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the strategic forward headquarters for the US Central Command (CENTCOM), just hours ago.
The operation, known as Tidings of Victory, was executed in response to recent unauthorized American airstrikes that targeted three civilian nuclear sites in Iran’s north-central and central areas on Sunday morning.
The commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Mohammad Pakpour, issued a stern warning on Tuesday, stating that any further acts of aggression by the United States would elicit responses that are “even more crushing and regret-inducing,” intended as a historical lesson.
The Israeli authorities initiated an unexpected military operation against the Islamic Republic on June 13. This offensive resulted in the killings of several high-ranking military officials, nuclear scientists, and numerous civilians, including women and children.
