Iran’s Defense Minister Vows Retaliation Against US ‘Aggressors’; Rejects Imposed Peace

Iran's Defense Minister has firmly stated that the nation will not succumb to enforced reconciliation with hostile forces. He also denounced what he described as American aggression towards Iran.

In a significant escalation, Iranian armed forces on Monday launched a missile strike targeting the Al Udeid base in Qatar. This site is recognized as the headquarters of the US Air Force Command and is considered the most strategically vital asset of the American military in the West Asia region.

The armed forces characterized their counteraction as a formidable and impactful missile assault, intended as a “clear and direct” signal to the White House and its allies. The Islamic Republic emphasized that any breach of its territorial integrity, sovereignty, or national security would be met with unwavering retaliation.

Nasirzadeh characterized the United States as the primary source of instability in the region, advocating for increased collaboration between Iran and Russia to establish a counterbalance.

He expressed a willingness to collaborate in pursuit of regional and global peace and stability.

The minister labeled the Israeli government as a significant factor contributing to regional instability, criticizing the backing that the United States and its allied nations have offered to the Zionist entity, which they claim has fomented chaos in the region.

The defense minister communicated to his Russian counterpart that the confrontation is not solely against the Zionist regime, but also involves the United States and several other nations that lend their support to it.

In a recent statement, the Russian defense minister criticized the allegations made by Washington, labeling them as false justifications for hostile actions. The claims in question suggest that Tehran’s nuclear activities are being directed towards military objectives. However, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), after conducting its most thorough inspections in Iran, has found no evidence to support these assertions.

Belousov described the allegation as merely an “excuse” fabricated by Washington to justify its aggressive actions.

He described the assault on Iranian soil as a mere pretext linked to nuclear concerns, contending that the true motive is to destabilize the Islamic Republic and propagate disorder across the region.

Russia is attentively observing all developments and has pledged its support to the Islamic Republic.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov reiterated Moscow’s support for the Islamic Republic in statements made on Monday.

He stated that Moscow has issued a firm condemnation of the actions taken by Israel and the United States, specifically denouncing the American assaults and Israeli aggression. These actions have targeted numerous locations and resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.

Ryabkov announced that efforts are underway in collaboration with Iranian counterparts to draft a United Nations Security Council resolution denouncing the recent atrocities.
