Thousands Injured and Displaced as Iran Missiles Hit Occupied Lands Hard

The repercussions of Iran's retaliation against Israeli actions have led to significant casualties, a deep psychological impact, and widespread evacuations throughout the occupied territories.

The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported a significant rise in casualties amid recent conflicts involving Iranian missile strikes. Over a 12-day period, Iran’s retaliatory actions resulted in substantial damage to Israel.

A report based on data from the Israeli Ministry of Health disclosed that around 3,345 settlers were injured and required hospital treatment during the conflict. Of these, 23 individuals are in critical condition, and three others have died from their injuries while under hospital care.

The conflict has also exacted a substantial psychological toll, according to the ministry, which has observed a marked increase in trauma-related mental health cases. There has been a significant uptick in both new and returning patients seeking psychological assistance during the intensified hostilities.

The report further detailed that a total of 11,070 settlers have been relocated and are now residing in 97 reception centers throughout “Israel.” As per information from Maariv, thousands more continue to live in temporary arrangements, such as hotels, with no clear timeline for their return to their homes.

In a separate development, a report published by the Israeli financial daily, Calcalist, on Sunday highlighted the significant material damages incurred by the Israeli occupation as a result of its conflict with Iran. According to the report, more than 41,550 compensation claims have been submitted by settlers impacted by the hostilities.

According to the data, direct impacts on buildings accounted for the majority of the damage, with 32,975 claims filed for housing units and related structures. Furthermore, there were 4,456 claims concerning damage to household appliances and equipment, and 4,119 claims pertained to vehicle damage.

Preliminary assessments indicate that direct damage costs surpass 5 billion shekels, equivalent to approximately $1.3 billion. However, thousands of cases continue to be under evaluation or are pending formal filing.

The report highlighted that approximately 18,000 settlers had to be evacuated from multiple regions due to devastation resulting from Iranian retaliatory strikes during the conflict.

Government and insurance agencies continue to evaluate the extent of the destruction, with officials expecting the number of claims to rise in the forthcoming weeks as further damage assessments are finalized and residents return to examine their properties.

The release of these figures highlights the substantial economic and logistical impact on the home front due to the recent conflict. The Israeli administration faced significant internal criticism for perceived shortcomings in preparedness, response capabilities, and infrastructure resilience.

Iranian missiles successfully targeted strategic bases and facilities, most notably the Weizmann Institute, resulting in substantial, yet undisclosed damage, according to a report by Israel’s Channel 13 on Sunday.

Reports have emerged indicating that Iranian missile strikes have directly hit multiple military bases and strategic facilities. However, detailed information about the extent and specifics of the impacts remains undisclosed.

The network highlighted the challenge in comprehending the accuracy of the Iranian missile strikes and the scope of devastation they inflicted across numerous locations.

Reports indicate that Israel has acknowledged being targeted by over 50 missiles amid its 12-day conflict with Iran. However, the complete extent of the damage remains uncertain, potentially obscured due to stringent media censorship.
