Tehran Demands Firm Condemnation of Israel, Accountability for Evin Prison Massacre
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, has denounced Israel's airstrike on Evin prison hospital carried out on June 23. Baghaei asserted that Israel must be held responsible for what he described as a "flagrant atrocity" against the Iranian people.

In a social media post on X, Baghaei stated, “With each passing day, the public is presented with new aspects of Netanyahu’s alleged war crimes in Tehran and various Iranian cities affected by the Israeli regime’s actions.”
In a statement regarding a video depicting the aftermath of the regime’s violent attack on Evin Prison’s medical facility, Baghaei reported that family members and friends of the inmates, along with several staff members and bystanders, were trapped and perished in the debris.
He stated that “79 precious lives were lost due to what he described as Israel’s brutal war crime.”
A statement was made asserting that individuals with a moral compass cannot stay silent amidst such severe atrocities, which constitute significant breaches of international humanitarian law and clear war crimes.
