Great Satan US UAV crashes in northern Afghanistan
An American unmanned aerial vehicle operated by the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) has crashed in northern Afghanistan.
“An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) rotary-wing unmanned aerial vehicle crashed in northern Afghanistan today,” the NATO-led forces said in a press release.
The US-led alliance however did not announce the exact location of the incident.
“The cause of the crash is currently being assessed; however, initial reporting indicates there was no enemy activity in the area. The site has been secured and no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident,” the statement added.
The incident comes hours after a NATO supply vehicle transporting fuel destined for US-led forces crashed and went up in flames in Afghanistan’s troubled southern province of Kandahar, killing at least seven people.
