Ayatollah Taskhiri in Sri Lanka to attend inter-faith confab and to stress Shia-Sunni Brotherhood

Head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri is due in Sri Lanka to attend a conference on “Proximity between Islamic denominations.”

The importance and necessity of unity among Muslims, Islamic awakening and its role in International realms and role of Zionism in Muslims’ dispersion are some of topics to be covered in this conference.

Islamic scholars in this conference also deal with practical solutions to prevent Shia-Sunni divisions.

On the sideline of the conference, participants and Islamic scholars also visit cultural centers of Sri Lanka.
