Thousands of people marched in the funeral procession of Hamas’s military commander Ahmed Al-Ja’bari, on Thursday including a number of Hamas leaders.
The body of Ja’bari, who was murdered in an Israeli air raid on Wednesday, was taken from Shifa hospital to his family home in Shujaia suburb in Gaza for his family to have a final look on him.
Hamas leaders took part in the funeral procession that saw last prayers for the martyr in Omari mosque before he was laid to rest at Ridwan cemetery north of Gaza city instead of the martyrs’ cemetery because of security conditions and its proximity to the eastern borders of the Strip.
Hamas leaders lauded the late Ja’bari and vowed that his blood would not be wasted.
