Afghans protest NATO killing of civilian
Afghans staged a demonstration on Thursday outside a US military base in the capital city of Kabul after foreign troops killed a civilian.
The civilian was killed in an incident involving a NATO convoy earlier in the day, NATO said in a statement.
The protesters expressed their anger to the killing outside Camp Phoenix, the Associated Press reported.
Last week, another civilian was killed during the fourth consecutive day of anti-NATO rallies in the central province of Ghazni.
The United Nations named 2009 as the deadliest year for Afghan civilians with nearly 2,500 civilian’s dead.
