A glass chamber’: ‘50,000 US forces’ in 10 military bases within Iran’s reach

A senior official of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has issued a stark warning to United States forces stationed in the region, likening their position to residing in a "glass house" and advising them against "throwing stones at others."

Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, who leads the IRGC’s Aerospace Division, delivered his comments during Eid al-Fitr celebrations, commemorating the conclusion of Ramadan, in Tehran on Monday.

According to Hajizadeh, the United States maintains ten military bases in the region surrounding Iran, with approximately 50,000 troops stationed there.

“This suggests they find themselves in a precarious position, akin to occupying a glass house, a condition that necessitates caution and restraint from casting criticism towards others.”

The statement from the top ranks of the IRGC follows threats by Trump to launch attacks on Iran should it decline to negotiate “a new deal.”

On Saturday, Trump issued a warning that Iran could face military action should it fail to reach an agreement with the United States.

In an interview with NBC News, he warned that failure to reach an agreement could result in bombings. Furthermore, he threatened Iran with “secondary tariffs” as a punitive measure.

On Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei criticized remarks made by Trump on his X account, condemning them as an open threat to “bomb” Iran, and labeling such rhetoric as a challenge to international peace and security.

Baghaei expressed grave concern over an explicit threat of “bombing” issued by a Head of State against Iran, describing it as a significant challenge to the core principles of international peace and security.
