‘A lot of false news’ around battle of Tal Afar – Iraqi Ministry of Interior

Spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Interior Brigadier General Saad Maan said that “there is a lot of fabrication and rumours and false news” regarding reports of violations against human rights and abuse of power in the battle of Tal Afar, speaking at the Pentagon in Washington DC, Thursday.

Maan said “If there was any controversy or issue, there was an immediate investigation, whether it was an individual behaviour because we need to make sure that they don’t relate to the military institutions.”

He went on to say “there is a lot of fabrication and rumours and false news regarding what happened” in Tal Afar.
