Trump says ‘could win’ Afghan war ‘in a week’US President Donald Trump claims he could “win” the war in Afghanistan “in a week.”
In response, Sediq Sediqi, a spokesman for Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, said on Tuesday that Kabul had sought an explanation regarding Trump’s remarks through diplomatic channels, considering the comprehensive bilateral ties between the two nations.
Afghanistan, with a population of around 35 million, has been plagued by a US-led war that started in 2001. The Asian country continued to be occupied by the invading forces.
