US, israel involved in creation of ISIL: Analyst

A political commentator says the United States and Israel are deeply involved in creating terrorist groups across the Mideast region.

Shabbir Hassanally, an activist and Islamic scholar from London said in an interview with Press TV that Washington and its close allied have provided longstanding support for militant organizations such as al-Qaeda and ISIL.

Touching on the ongoing violence in Syria, the commentator says that some Israeli hospitals were treating the injured ISIL militants fighting in Syria.

He also strongly criticized Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar for giving financial and military support to the militants.

The commentator also pointed out that these countries were targeting the anti-Israeli resistance in the region.

He concluded by saying that the Western main stream media was using crimes committed by ISIL militants to spread Islamophobia and tarnish the image of Islam and Muslims.

The remarks come as ISIL terrorists currently control swaths of territory across Syria and Iraq. They have been committing heinous crimes in the captured areas, including mass executions and beheading of local residents as well as foreign nationals.

The United States and its regional allies, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, are reportedly giving financial and military support to the militants.
