After humiliation in Gaza, disgraced ‘israel’ threatens Lebanon with war

Zionist minister of military affairs Benny Gantz has threatened Lebanon with military strikes in the event of an attack from the north, saying raids on Lebanon would include bigger and more significant targets than those hit during the recent onslaught on the Gaza Strip.

“If an attack comes from the north, Lebanon will tremble… the houses in which weapons and terrorist operatives are being hidden will become rubble. Our list of targets for Lebanon is bigger and more significant than the one for Gaza, and the bill is ready to be settled if necessary,” Gantz said in a speech on Wednesday.

The remarks came after Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary-general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, warned Israel that any aggression on holy sites in the occupied Jerusalem al-Quds would lead to a regional war and the destruction of the regime in Tel Aviv.

“You must know that harming Jerusalem [al-Quds], al-Aqsa Mosque, and the nation’s sanctities is different from any other aggression you carry out,” Nasrallah warned Israel. “Harming the al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy sites will not stop at the borders of the Gaza resistance, and will lead to a regional war and Israel’s destruction.”

The Hezbollah chief was hinting at recurring Israeli attacks in recent weeks and months on Palestinian worshippers at al-Aqsa Mosque, which incited a military confrontation between the resistance groups in the Gaza Strip and Israel.

The Gaza war began on May 10 and lasted until May 21, when the occupying regime announced a unilateral ceasefire which was accepted, through Egyptian mediation, by the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza.

Throughout the 12-day asymmetrical encounter, Israeli airstrikes killed at least 254 Palestinians, including 66 children, wounded almost 2,000, and displaced over 72,000 people in the besieged enclave. On the other side, Palestinian rocket attacks killed 12 people in the occupied territories.

Meanwhile, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar warned Israel on Wednesday that the Palestinian resistance group is capable of firing hundreds of missiles with ranges of up to 200 km towards the Israeli-occupied territories in one minute.

“The resistance has the ability to fire hundreds of missiles with a range of 100-200 kilometers per minute at the Zionist enemy,” Sinwar said, adding that the resistance only demonstration a fraction of its capabilities in defending Gaza.
