Erdogan’s chief adviser: Turkey, PKK peace talks in process

Turkey has started peace talks with the leaders of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s chief adviser says.
On Monday, Yalcin Akdogan said in an interview with Turkey’s NTV news channel that the government decided to begin the talks after coming to the conclusion that it is unlikely to defeat PKK fighters militarily.
