Air Force Asserts Readiness to Protect Iranian Airspace ‘Under Any Circumstances’: Commander
The Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF), Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi, has asserted that the force remains vigilant and is entirely prepared to safeguard the nation's airspace "under any circumstances."

Vahedi delivered his remarks during a meeting with Air Force commanders at the Shahid Habibi air base, situated in the northeastern city of Mashhad, on Sunday.
Iran’s Air Force emphasizes the importance of constant vigilance and swift response as key principles, citing the region’s volatile situation.
He emphasized the necessity for his unit to uphold ongoing readiness and enhance its capabilities.
The chief commander asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) stands prepared to deliver a robust defense of the nation’s airspace in any situation.
Vahedi emphasized the critical role of incorporating indigenous knowledge within the Air Force, asserting, “It is our duty to uphold the deterrent capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force at the utmost level, drawing upon domestic expertise and knowledge.”
He highlighted that ongoing maneuvers and specialized training are crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of Air Force pilots and technical staff.
Iran has made considerable progress in advancing the self-reliance of its Armed Forces, drawing heavily on homegrown expertise and knowledge.
Adhering to directives from Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Iranian authorities have consistently reiterated that the nation remains resolute in bolstering its military capabilities, emphasizing that these measures are strictly for defensive purposes and are not open to negotiation.
