Airlander 10 collapses to ground in Bedfordshire, UK

The world’s longest aircraft, the Airlander 10, collapsed to the ground at Cardington Airfield in Bedfordshire in the UK on Saturday, November 18, after it broke free from its mooring mast, causing it to deflate.

The manufacturer, British aerospace company Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) said in a statement the aircraft has a safety system which is triggered automatically if the aircraft breaks free of its mast, and is designed to rip open the hull and deflate the aircraft.
