Iran doctrine:Nuclear energy for all, nuclear weapon for no one

Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili, by referring to Iran abilities in using peaceful nuclear energy, said Iran can be a successful model for all countries for motto of “ Nuclear energy for all, nuclear weapons for no one.”

Speaking in a press conference in Istanbul on Saturday after two rounds of negotiations, Jalili said it was agreed to continue talks with a positive approach toward nuclear cooperation.

He stressed that next meeting will be in Baghdad on May 23, 2012 and the two sides agreed on a positive and constructive process for a comprehensive cooperation on issues of mutual interest for both sides.

Jalili underlined that the two sides reached an agreement that all kinds of nuclear cooperation are based upon Non-Proliferation Treaty.

He continued that Mr. Baqeri and Ms. Schmidt have been assigned to prepare a draft to form a framework for continuation of cooperation on May 23 meeting.

Iran’s chief negotiator said that following confirmation of the draft in that time in Baghdad, the two sides’ reciprocal cooperation will begin and they will enter to the stage of cooperation.

Concerning two rounds of talks, Jalili said that the two sides welcome approach of talk for cooperation and emphasize that threat and pressure strategy has no effect on Iranians.

He added that today’s negotiation had some progress; of course the two sides had differences, but there was a noticeable amount of agreement, too.

Jalili said that members of Group 5+1 had a positive attitude toward the talks and cooperation.

In his press conference venue a banner with pictures of Iran’s nuclear scientists, who were assassinated, was hanging and this motto was written on the banner; “ Nuclear energy for everyone, nuclear weapon for noone.”
