Iran speaker unveils western plans in Muslim world

n00122080-bIran’s parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has stressed that the main scenario of the west is distancing Iran and Muslim countries from religious interests and preventing unity and proximity.
The senior law maker has congratulated the birthday anniversary of the holy Prophet Mohammad and his grandson Imam Sadeq (PBUT) and expressed the hope that the Unity Week would bring Muslim hearts closer to each other.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of Tehran’s International Muslim Unity Conference in Tehran, Larijani pointed to a remark made by the Holy Prophet who said ” My Ummah will be prosperous as far as they love each other,” saying that the Unity Conference aims at realizing the promise by the holy Prophet and called on Muslims to make friendship as the secret behind Muslim unity.

Pointing to the challenges which hampers Muslim unity, he called on the participants to take a look back into the Muslim world situation in the past, adding that Muslims has taken multiple approach versus modernity and Western developments.

Larijani said that the first approach adopted by western colonialism is spreading secularism among Muslims. The trend has been launched by west-leaned intellectuals, while chanting the motto of secularism in countries such as Iran, Turkey and the Arab world.

The second scenario followed by the west is taking Iran away Islamic countries from religious interests and blocking rapprochement between Muslims.
