Hamas denounces closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque

Hamas movement renewed its rejection of the Israeli occupation decision to close the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil, saying that it is a serious crime that would not succeed to blur its Islamic identity.

Following the Israeli decision to close the Ibrahimi mosque on Thursday and Friday before Muslim worshipers, Hamas movement issued a statement denouncing the Israeli racist measures against the mosque in al-Khalil that violates the international laws and religious norms.

Such practices would not succeed to impose the status quo and would not blur the mosque’s Islamic identity.

The movement warned the Israeli occupation of continuing these racist practices against Islamic holy sites, stressing the Palestinian people’s adherence to their fundamental rights and national constants.
