Ansarullah Affirms Continued Yemeni Strikes on Israel Despite US Deal
The Ansarullah resistance movement has stated that the United States' temporary suspension of airstrikes on Yemen, in exchange for a cessation of attacks on US warships in the Red Sea, does not change Yemen's stance on targeting Israel.

Ansarullah spokesperson Mohammed Abdul-Salam emphasized that Yemen’s Armed Forces will persist in striking Israeli targets in solidarity with Palestinians amid the ongoing conflict in the war-ravaged Gaza Strip.
Abdul-Salam stated that the agreement with the United States is “unrelated to our stance on supporting Gaza.” He further emphasized that “the support of the Yemeni nation for Gaza will be enhanced more effectively.”
Since the beginning of the conflict in Gaza in October 2023, Yemeni forces have executed numerous operations in solidarity with the affected population, striking various targets within the occupied Palestinian territories. Additionally, they have targeted Israeli ships or vessels en route to ports in the region.
In a show of solidarity with Israel, the United States declared the establishment of a maritime task force in the Red Sea, set to commence operations in December 2023. This initiative aims to safeguard the transit of ships heading towards areas under Israeli administration.
Yemeni forces have intensified their offensives by targeting critical Israeli and American assets, including United States warships and aircraft carriers stationed near Yemen’s coastline.
Trump declared on Tuesday that the United States will cease its bombing activities in Yemen. This decision follows Yemen’s agreement to halt attacks on vessels in the Red Sea.
Following Trump’s announcement, Oman revealed its role as a mediator in the ceasefire agreement.
Yemen’s stance on the Palestinian issue and its support for Gaza remains steadfast, according to Abdul-Salam. He stated that while there have been requests from the United States, conveyed through the Sultanate of Oman, it is the US position that has shifted, not Yemen’s. Abdul-Salam further noted that the position articulated by Trump is indicative of this shift.
Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement detailing an agreement aimed at ceasing U.S. hostilities towards Yemen. In return, it seeks to halt assaults on American vessels, with no reference made to any actions concerning the territories under the control of the Zionist regime.
The spokesperson for Ansarullah highlighted that the United States’ proposal underscored its inadequacy and lack of success, with the nation unable to ensure the safety of Israeli vessels.
Abdul-Salam indicated that Yemen remains in the process of assessing the United States’ stance, aiming to confirm that it transcends mere rhetoric.
The spokesperson for the resistance group declared that any renewed assaults by the United States would prompt the group to recommence its operations targeting Washington.
On Tuesday, Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi announced that future agreements would prevent either party from targeting the other, including American vessels, in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait. This initiative aims to guarantee freedom of navigation and facilitate the uninterrupted movement of international commercial shipping.
Since March, the United States, Britain, and Israel have launched several airstrikes on Yemen, asserting that over 1,000 targets have been struck. This military campaign is intended to stop Yemeni military actions against Israel and vessels linked to Israel in the Red Sea, in addition to deterring strikes aimed at military installations located deep within the occupied Palestinian territories.
On Sunday, Israel’s military was unable to intercept a missile launched from Yemen, which successfully hit the well-secured Ben Gurion Airport. In the aftermath of the attack, the Yemeni Armed Forces declared their intent to enforce an “aerial blockade” on Israel through ongoing strikes on key airports, with a particular focus on Ben Gurion.
In a retaliatory move, Israeli fighter jets conducted airstrikes on Sana’a International Airport along with other civilian infrastructures, which led Yemen to vow intensified attacks on Israeli targets.
