Aqsa Mosque preacher urges Palestinians to frequent Aqsa Mosque and protect it

Sheikh Ismail Nawahda, an Aqsa Mosque preacher, called on the Palestinians to frequent the Aqsa Mosque and intensify their presence inside it all the time to protect it against any attempt to Judaize it.

In his Friday khutba (sermon), Sheikh Nawahda also urged the Palestinians to join forces, help one another to do good and be pious, and cultivate and take care of their land in order for them be strong in the face of the Israeli occupation and all challenges.

The preacher talked about the daily break-ins by Jewish settlers and soldiers into the Aqsa Mosque and the exposure of Palestinian worshipers to police assaults in an attempt to undermine its Islamic stature and sanctity.

He also highlighted different forms of violations and injustices the Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem are exposed to on a daily basis at the hands of the Israeli occupation authority, its soldiers and settlers.

The Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, he added, also suffer from displacement, daily military attacks and unemployment, and vast tracts of their lands along the borderline are bulldozed and seized by the Israeli occupation army.

Sheikh Nawahda also hailed the struggle of Palestinian official Ziyad Abu Ein for his own people and his death in defense of their land during a rally in Ramallah last Wednesday.

“The martyrdom of Abu Ein will be a candle illuminating the road before our people who are striving for their freedom, liberation, the establishment of their state, and the restoration of their holy shrines.”
