Gunmen fighting against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have opened fire on a railway station west of the restive city of Homs.
There have been no immediate reports of casualties and the exact location of the shooting remains unknown.
Syria has been experiencing a deadly unrest since mid-March 2011, the violence has claimed the lives of many people, including large numbers of security forces.
