Army prepared for defense systems based on Resistance Economy

Iran’s Army commander-in-chief has delivered a message in the occasion of National Army Day (April 18).
Mehr News quoted Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army Public Relations Office report that Maj. Gen. Ataollah Salehi had issued a message where he pointed to the epic battle waged by the ‘Army warriors’ against the Baathist Iraqi army.

The message also has hints to the naming of the new Iranian year by the Leader as ‘Economy and Culture: National Determination and Jihadi Management.’ “with the God’s grace, the same army staff who, with the epic presence along with the Imam [Khomeini] and the public during the Revolution and the Sacred Defense, and brought the enemies of the Islamic Republic in their wicked objectives to debacle, now in the fields of economy and culture, with a firm determination and drawing upon Jihadi management and the pious youth, would perpetuate 35 years of indefatigable service, that has been achieved by 48,000 martyrs, and with emphasis upon the spiritual preparation and improved level of defense systems in terms of quality and quantity based on Resistance Economy, will continue its effective presence in cultural and soft warfare fields as before,” the message read.
