Hamas denounces US bias against Palestinians

Spokesman of the popular Palestinian movement, Hamas denounced the attitude of US President Barack Obama’s administration towards the people of Palestine as biased.

“Obama’s speech showed that the United States is not a friend for the people in the region, because it is totally biased toward the Israeli occupation,” Sami Abu Zuhri said.

Zuhri said Obama’s speech reflects his administration’s support for the occupation at the expense of the freedom of the Palestinian people.

On May 19, Obama delivered a speech on his new Middle East policy, in which he repeated commitment to seek a negotiated solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict while once again emphasizing on a formidable US support for Israel.
