The Yemeni Army, backed by voluntary forces, fired a ballistic missile on Friday evening at a gathering of militia backing the fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

According to Yemen’s al-Masirah news website, the missile hit the militia gathering at an area east of Sana’a, the capital.

Yemen’s Army Spokesman Sharaf Luqman confirmed the report in his Facebook page, saying such missiles will continue to be launched as long as the aggressors, including the Saudi-led military coalition and the pro-Hadi militia, keep violating the ceasefire.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been launching deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

More than 8,000 Yemenis, including many women and children, have died in the Saudi-led aggression so far.
