Iran’s Jaberi Ansari meets with president Assad

 

Iran’s deputy FM for Arab and African affairs, who is staying in Syria, today met and talked with Bashar al-Assad, President of the Arab country.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari presented a report on the latest regional and international developments and the latest round of Astana talks and stressed continuation of support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for restoring stability and stability to Syria in the framework of preserving unity, territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Syria.

Jaberi Ansari, while referring to ongoing consultations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with Syria, Russia and Turkey, emphasized the need for increased coordination in order to put an end to the Syrian crisis as soon as possible.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad also expressed his warm greetings to his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani and congratulated him on his reelection saying “the recent presidential election in Iran was a great blow to enemies since it boosted credibility and respect of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region and the world. The official also praised Iran’s comprehensive support for Syria during the crisis.

The meeting also discussed the latest developments in bilateral cooperation between Iran and Syria in various political and economic fields, and emphasized the need to strengthen these cooperation, especially in the economic field.
