The Syrian Army has dispatched scores of well-trained fighters to the Northern province of Aleppo in the last couple of days to join a massive operation against the militant groups in the Northern battlefields, military sources said Tuesday.

“Over 800 soldiers from the Syrian army, the National Defense Forces (NDF), Kata’eb Hezbollah (Iraqi paramilitary) and Liwa al-Badr (Iraqi paramilitary) have made their way from the Syrian capital of Damascus to the Northern city of Aleppo,” the sources said.

“In a matter of three weeks, almost 3,000 military personnel have made the journey from Damascus to the city of Aleppo; however, their ultimate objective and their whereabouts have not yet been revealed,” they added.

There is much speculation that the next Aleppo offensive will take place in the Northern territories, where the two towns of al-Zahra’ and Nubl are currently encircled by al-Nusra Front and the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

Others have speculated that the offensive will be launched to capture the Bab al-Hawa border-crossing into the Hatay Province of Turkey; this has also been the topic of many military analysts.

Earlier reports said that the Syrian army continued to inflict more casualties on ISIL terrorists in a series of stern attacks against their gatherings in the Eastern districts of Aleppo.

According to the report, the casualties have been imposed on terrorists in Tal Faouri village, as the Syrian army and popular forces are keeping their momentum in their fierce assaults against the militants lurking in the Eastern parts of Aleppo province.

Also in city of Aleppo, Syrian Army units and pro-government forces, at least in three neighborhoods of al-Rashedin 4, al-Rashedin 5 and Salahuddin, carried out intensive strikes against the Wahhabi-Takfiri terrorist groups, inflicting heavy losses on them and destroying their weaponry.
