Brutal Zionist Regime Strikes and Blockade Targeting Gaza’s Healthcare Infrastructure, Claims Doctor

The chief of field hospitals in the Gaza Strip has accused Israel of targeting hospitals and medical personnel, along with imposing a blockade on medical supplies. These actions, the official claims, are designed to "systematically dismantle" the healthcare system in the Palestinian territory.

Dr. Marwan al-Hams commented on Sunday regarding the dire humanitarian crisis currently unfolding in Gaza, which is experiencing severe challenges due to the ongoing 18-month conflict with Israel.

Israel has reportedly been focusing its operations on various aspects of the medical sector within the Gaza Strip, impacting healthcare facilities and their personnel.

The official stated that the occupying regime is intentionally blocking the delivery of vital medical supplies to Gaza, with the objective of systematically undermining the healthcare system in the region.

In distinct statements to China’s Xinhua news agency, it was reported that over 80 percent of hospitals in Gaza are currently experiencing partial or complete service interruptions.

The health sector in Gaza has reached a state of collapse, according to statements calling for immediate international intervention to provide fuel and medical supplies. Officials describe their efforts as being conducted under inhumane conditions, warning that without external assistance, those injured will face dire consequences.

On October 7, 2023, Israel launched a significant military campaign in Gaza. Despite the initial aims set forth by the Israeli government, the operation concluded without meeting its declared objectives. The offensive resulted in the tragic loss of 51,201 Palestinian lives, predominantly affecting women and children, and left over 116,869 people injured.

A contentious entity has agreed to the enduring negotiation terms proposed by the Hamas resistance group as part of a Gaza ceasefire that commenced on January 19.

Israel unilaterally terminated the ceasefire on March 2, halting the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. The nation further escalated its military actions by resuming intensive bombing operations and redeploying its forces in the region.

Human rights organizations have denounced Israel’s ongoing blockade, now entering its eighth week, of essential supplies, labeling it a crime against humanity and a blatant breach of international legal standards.
