Southern Damascus: Terrorists Agree to Leave Yarmouk Camp

The militants based in Yarmouk Camp agreed to leave for Northern Syria after reaching an agreement with the Syrian army as the government forces tightened their noose on the terrorists.

Terrorists agreed to leave the Yarmouk Camp for Idlib according to an agreement with the militants, field source said.

Around 5,000 of the besieged residents of Fua’a and Kafraya in Idlib countryside will be freed in two phases within the framework of the agreement.

Also, about 85 of abducted people, most of them women and children, in Ashtarbaq town in Jisr al-Shaquor region will be released by the militants.

Meantime, the Syrian army has taken the needed logistical measures for the exit of terrorists from Yarmouk Camp and freeing the besieged people of Fua’a and Kafaraya towns.

The terrorists’ agreement to evacuate the Yarmouk Camp comes while the Syrian army has tightened the grip on terrorists in Southern Damascus due to its rapid advances in several regions in Southern Damascus.

In a relevant development last week, Shadi Marwan al-Sa’ad, a senior commander of the Al-Nusra front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board), was killed in the Syrian Army operation in Yarmouk Refugee Camp.

The key Al-Nusra field commander, was killed in clashes with the army men in Sahat al-Rijeh flank in Yarmouk Refugee Camp in the Southern part of Damascus province.

In the meantime, the army soldiers managed to seize control over three buildings in Zalikheh area in al-Tazamon region after beating back the ISIL terrorists from their positions.

Also, the army’s artillery and missile units and aircraft have been pounding ISIL’s positions in Yarmouk Camp and Hajar al-Aswad.

Several tunnels and trenches of the terrorists have also been destroyed in the air raids in a region between al-Tazamon and Yalda regions.

Earlier reports said that the army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL South of Hajar al-Aswad from Sabineh direction and imposed full control over several areas.

Also, other units of the army managed to take control of several buildings near the road that connects al-A’alaf to al-Asali West of Hajar al-Aswad.

The army men inflicted major losses on the ISIL in their attacks in Qata’a al-Shohada, Share’a Yarmouk Rijeh and Share’a al-Thalthin West of Yarmouk Refuge Camp.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery and missile units and aircraft pounded the movements, command and control posts and positions of the ISIL in Hajar al-Aswad region, Yarmouk camp and parts of the regions of al-Qadam and al-Tazamon, destroying several positions and killing or wounding a large number of the terrorists.
