video- Yemenis calling for Saleh’s step down

Tens of thousands of anti government protesters once again took to the streets across the country to call for the ouster of Saleh’s regime.

Protesters expressed their outrage at what they described the regime has continued attacks on opposition tribesmen in Arhab, Sana’a and Taiz.

Anti government protesters called this Friday of Ibrahim Al-Hamdi. A former late President who as the protesters describe is the first founder of Yemen’s modern state.

Another demonstration was staged by Saleh’s loyalists who expressed their support to the latest statement issued by Yemeni scholars which called for obeying the country’s elected leader, however anti government protesters considered such statement as a declaration of war against what they described the peaceful demonstrators.

Thursday night at least two people were killed when clashes between opposition tribesmen and regime’s forces erupted in Al-Hasaba area to the north of Sana’a.

As Yemen’s political crisis lingers on with no end in sight, international community puts more pressure on Saleh to step down in accordance with the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council’s initiative.

The Arab initiative calls Saleh to step down and hand over the power to his deputy.

As the opposing groups accuse each other of being not responsive to dialogue, political analysts see a case of a well-deserved nation for a political change and better life is lost in the middle.
