Chile keen on enhanced economic ties with Iran

Chile’s Economy Minister Juan Andres Fontaine and Chile’s Energy and Mining Minister Laurence Golborne in a meeting with members of Iranian parliamentary friendship group in Santiago announced their country’s readiness for economic cooperation with Iran.

The Chilean ministers in separate meeting with members of Iranian parliamentary delegation on Thursday discussed cooperation in different areas such as energy, mining and commerce.

The visit of Iranian parliamentary delegation to Chile is the first official visit of an Iranian delegation to the Latin American country over past 30 years.

The Iranian lawmakers emphasized the need for making use of their mutual potentials after holding talks with the Chilean officials on bilateral economic and industrial cooperation.
