Iranians attend 100K-seat stadium to back Gazans

 Citizens of Tehran got together at Azadi Stadium on the birth anniversary of Imam Hassan (AS), the second Shia Imam, to pay respect to the martyrs of Gaza.

Lovers of Imam Hassan (AS) flock to the largest stadium in the capital city of Iran on Tuesday afternoon not because of a sporting event but because of a huge quranic gathering.

People from all walks of life particularly young adults took part at the stadium on the 15th day of Ramadan.

The participants slammed the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime against the innocent Palestinian nation in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has announced that the death toll from the Israeli genocidal war on the besieged territory has risen to 32,226 since early October.

Holding the posters of Gazan martyrs, the attendees shouted slogans in support of the ideals of Palestine.

The people of Tehran also showed the flags on which some Quranic verses or Islamic names had been written.

The crowd had been asked to display a picture of one of the 600 martyrs of Gaza on their mobile phones during the great event.

As part of the ceremony, the epic song themed with generational support for the Islamic Revolution dubbed “Salam Farmandeh or Hello Commander” was performed spontaneously by the young adults.

The lovers of Imam Hassan flew a large number of colorful balloons at the event.

In reaction to the gathering, Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaili said that President Ebrahim Raisi had hailed the event.

Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi termed the ceremony an ‘invaluable and great program’.

One hundred thousand Iranians prayed for the defenseless people in the Gaza Strip and asked God to free the occupied territories of Palestine.

The religious party that kicked off at around three in the afternoon wrapped up simultaneously with the meal of Iftar.

The question remains unanswered whether the martyrs of Gaza were the hosts or the guests of this celebration!
