Clashes at Haifa and Beer Sheva Universities

The Israeli occupation forces suppressed a student protest marches on the policy of Zionist piracy, at the universities of Haifa and Beer Sheva in the occupied territories in 1948.

Witnesses said that the special units of the Israeli forces (Alisam) arrested (10) demonstrators from the Institute of Applied Science and the University of Haifa.

The clashes came after the forces had attacked the Arab students who participated in the demonstration, in an attempt to dismantle the demonstration by force.

In the same context, another clashes broke out between Arab students and Zionist racists at the University of “Ben Gurion” in Beer Sheva.

Witnesses said: “After the demonstration of Arab Students raised banners with slogans calling for the rejection of racism, immediately a demonstration of the extreme right was launched in the university, which led to the outbreak of clashes between the parties.

One student said to our correspondent in Jerusalem, that number of right-wing activists tried to attack Arab female students who were carrying Palestinian flags and banners condemning the Israeli attack on freedom flotilla.
