Vile israeli forces have attacked Palestinian protesters in East al-Quds (Jerusalem) and other parts of the occupied West Bank.

Clashes broke out on Wednesday in the northern part of East al-Quds where protesters voiced anger over the latest wave of Israeli aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip.

Israel’s helicopters were hovering over East al-Quds and Shuafat village, located to the north of the city.

Meanwhile, Palestinian resistance movement Hamas agreed to a temporary truce requested by the United Nations on humanitarian grounds.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said the movement and other Palestinian factions agreed to a five-hour ceasefire that will start at 10:00 am local time (0700 GMT) on Thursday.

“It is in the interest of all the citizens of Gaza, in order to give them a chance to go to the hospital, get health care or get food,” said the UN’s peace envoy to the Middle East, Robert Serry.

More than 220 Palestinians have been killed during Israel’s new round of offensive against the coastal sliver that began on July 8.

In an attack in the southern Gazan city of Khan Yunis earlier in the day, a child and an elderly citizen were killed.

Three others also died there when their vehicle was targeted in an Israeli attack.

Four children were killed and three others injured on a beach near Gaza city in an attack, which appeared to be from Israeli naval shelling.

The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement, has been launching retaliatory attacks against Israel.
