Commander: IRGC Navy at Peak of Preparedness to Defend Iran’s Interests

Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri stressed his forces' full preparedness to defend Iranian waters and borders.

The IRGC Navy has reached such a level of combat readiness that if enemies want to pose a threat at sea against the country’s interests, they will receive a decisive response that will make regret, Rear Admiral Tangsiri said.

“Our fight against the global arrogance and oppressors, including the US and the Zionist regime, is based on the principles and teachings of the Holy Quran. We neither oppress anyone nor will we give in to any oppression.”

He said that the IRGC naval forces have reached the apex of preparedness to defend the interests of the country with all might.

Also, late last month, Rear Admiral Tangsiri said that security of the Persian Gulf region should be safeguarded only by the regional states.

Rear Admiral Tangsiri said that the foreigners have been present in the Persian Gulf since many years ago and their presence proves importance of this region.

Meanwhile, the commander noted that regional countries are the only ones that can ensure the security of the Persian Gulf region.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has already extended messages of peace and friendship over and over to (Arab) neighbors in South of the Persian Gulf and announced regional countries are the only ones capable of providing this region with security without the presence of the foreigners, Rear Admiral Tangsiri said, describing deployment of foreigners as the root cause of insecurity.

He added that asking help from the Zionist regime of Israel and allowing its presence in the region does not transfer a good message.

The US and the trans-regional states have no place here; the Islamic Republic will crushingly respond to anyone or any country that tries to create an obstacle to serving “our interests in the Persian Gulf”, the commander noted.

Also in April, Rear Admiral Tangsiri underlined that his forces are fully ready to give a crushing response to any threat against Iran’s interests.

Sea borders in Iran are in the best condition as the IRGC forces have good and strong presence there, Rear Admiral Tangrisi said.

The IRGC will not let any trans-regional country or any other states manipulate or exploit “our waters and interests”, he added.

Today, the IRGC Navy fully observes the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, all Northern and Southern coasts and all the moves of the enemies and foreigners; and it will respond strongly and intensely to any threat against the Islamic Republic’s interests and resources, Rear Admiral Tangsiri said.
