The Islamic State (IS) terrorists were filmed by pro-government media retreating from their former stronghold of Albukamal to the areas controlled by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
A video released by the pro-government channel, Al-Watan, claimed that the Islamic State terrorists slipped out of Albukamal by crossing the Euphrates River and reached the front-lines of the Syrian Democratic Forces.
Al-Masdar is unable to verify the authenticity of the video, nor has the Syrian Army commented on this claim by Al-Watan.
The Islamic State did in fact cross the Euphrates River after abandoning Albukamal, but their whereabouts following the retreat are unknown.
This latest video comes just hours after a document was leaked claiming the Islamic State and SDF have an ongoing ceasefire in the Al-Hasakah Governorate.
