Syrian Army Beats ISIL back from More Regions in Hama Province

The Syrian Army units won back two more villages from ISIL in Northeastern Hama on Sunday as government troops are expanding the security zone around the newly-freed Abu al-Dhohour airbase in Southeastern Idlib.

The terrorists retreated from the villages of Totah and Ainq Bajereh North of al-Sa’an region after heavy fighting with the army.

Military sources confirmed on Saturday that the army troops laid a full siege on the terrorists in a region as large as 1,200 sq-km stretching among the provinces of Aleppo, Hama and Idlib.

The sources said that the army men managed to beat back terrorists from the village of Um Tineh in Southern Aleppo and moved towards the village of Um al-Joureh near Abu al-Dhohour airbase in Southeastern Idlib, laying siege on the militants in a region covering 1,200 sq/km of area from Southeastern Khanasser in Aleppo up to West of the town of Sinjar in Idlib and North of al-Sa’an region in Northern Hama.

A field source said that two-thirds of the besieged regions are under the Al-Nusra Front control and the rest is held by the ISIL.
