Debate: US judiciary system protects killer cops

During the recent weeks, the US has been the scene of civil unrest following the systematic targeting of the African-Americans by white cops and the subsequent killings of three police officers in New York and Florida.

Last Saturday, two uniformed New York City Police Department officers were fatally shot by a gunman, allegedly in retaliation against the shooting deaths of unarmed African-Americans by white cops. One day after the incident, a Floridian police officer was also killed in an apparent act of revenge.

In this edition of The Debate, Press TV has conducted an interview with Penny Hess, the chairwoman of African People’s solidarity committee, and Bob Ayers, the former US Intelligence Officer, to discuss protests in New York and whether the US will keep on experiencing protests against police brutality and unjust judicial system when it comes to African Americans.
