Dehqan congratulates successful launch of research rocket into space

Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan congratulated the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khameneie and the government and nation over the successful launch of a research rocket into space on Saturday.

According to IRNA, Dehqan made the remarks during the unveiling ceremony of 12 indigenous technological products in the field of cyber, adding the Iranian scientists and experts have designed and implemented programs for sending live creatures into space for many years.
He said Iran’s first rocket carrying live creature (monkey) was sent into space January 28, 2013.
Also, Iranian scientists and experts have successfully launched a research rocket, sending second monkey into space on Saturday (Today) morning.
The rocket which was launched on the first day of the National Research Week, carried Iran’s second monkey, Fargam, to space and safely returned it to the Earth after 15 minutes.
